Desert Christian High School

It is during the high school
years that our sons and daughters face many life choices. The
need for a supportive and Christian environment is key during
this time of movement toward independence. The goal of Desert
Christian High School (DCHS) is to develop Christian leaders by
teaching every subject from a God-centered world view. This includes
instilling strength of character and courage to obey God's Word
that will result in true prosperity and strength.
Desert Christian High School provides
the opportunity for academic excellence in a college preparatory
environment and offers curriculum required to prepare students
for entrance to the college of their choice. Advanced Placement
courses are offered and there is a College
Counseling Office to help students and families plan for future
education.
Students understand that attending
DCHS is a privilege granted to those who display a spirit of harmony
with the philosophy and goals of the school.
Each student year begins with a three day retreat designed to
be a time of building relationships, growing through exposure
to God's Word, and having a great time together.
Desert Christian High School began
in 1988 with 17 students and now consists of over 400 teens. The
1997-98 school year began with the move to our new campus, featuring
a gymnasium, expanded library facility, and a brand new computer
lab. You can visit the High School campus at 2340 West Avenue
J-8 in Lancaster.
CIF Sports participation is encouraged.
As a member of the Desert Mountain League, students have a chance
to participate in basketball, baseball, softball, cross country,
soccer, volleyball and other non-league sports including cheerleading.
A variety of clubs
and activities enable all students to be involved in beneficial
services to the school and community and to use their interests
and gifts to bring glory to God. Over half of our student body
participate in a club of their choice.
