Desert Christian Schools is committed to keeping the cost of high-quality Christian education as low as possible. Tuition covers only 96% of the cost for each student. An additional 4% of financial support must be raised and is raised throughout the year by fundraisers, an auction, annual fund and E-Scrip.
Fundraisers: Throughout the school year special fundraisers are scheduled which help keep tuition cost down. Every family is encouraged to participate in these events. The fundraisers may include a fall gift and magazine sale, See’s Christmas candy, cookie dough, discount cards, candy bar sale, See’s Easter candy and a Jog-A-Thon/Bowl-A-Thon.
Annual Fund: By donating to the Annual Fund you will be helping DCS families by supplying financial aid when needed. Parents have enough to worry about when their hours get cut; a sickness affects a family, or a loss of a job. The children should not have to suffer by changing schools. 100% of these funds will assist families in need of financial support.
DCS Auction: We invite parents, friends, and staff to participate in the DCS auction which is held in the spring. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to donate items, services or money.
E-Scrip: The DCS scrip program is based on electronic scrip exclusively. This is an efficient and convenient method for DCS families to help raise funds for the school.
• Ralphs/Food-4-Less customers can register their grocery loyalty card by visiting www.ralphs.com/ccprogram.htm and clicking on “Community Contributions”.
Once your are enrolled, just use your credit, debit, or grocery loyalty cards at participating retailers and for each dollar you spend, a percentage will be credited toward DCS. Any questions please call the DCS Development Office at 661-948-5071 Ext.256.
Additional ways to support Desert Christian Schools:
• Turn in “Box Tops for Education” to any of the campuses.
• During the months of October thru February if you shop at the Antelope Valley Mall, turn in your receipts to guest services at the mall and help earn points with the Shopping 4 Students Program.
• Enroll your Target Visa, Credit, Check or Business Card for Target’s Take Charge of Education Program by logging onto the web at www.Target.com/tcoe, designate Desert Christian Schools as the recipient and Target will donate 1% of your purchases at any Target store and Target.com, and ½% of your Target Visa Credit Card purchases made everywhere else. Target will track purchases.
