Why run cross country for Desert Christian? The Lady Knights have a proud history of excellence in cross country. The girls have won the Desert Mountain League championship 23 out of the last 26 years. They also have won three CIF Southern Section titles, and have had a number of top ten finishes in the State Finals.
Desert Christian girls competed at Cool Breeze, Bell-Jeff, the historic Mt. SAC Invitational, and CIF Southern Section prelims and finals. Several athletes run throughout the summer, training in the mountains over long miles to ensure they are the best they can be. Additionally, they receive quality training from Desert Christian's highly qualified coaching staff.
The fact that head coach Andy Visokey knows how to train champions is undeniable, given his record, including the 2016 Boys' Division V State Championship. All of our coaches are firmly committed to providing top-of-the-line distance training, while running a faith-based program that keeps students' eyes on what is truly important. Student athletes are encouraged to glorify God through all they do, and apply biblical truths and lessons learned from training to becoming champions in every aspect of their lives.
