Accreditation

Desert Christian Schools hold accreditation from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

ACSI

Founded in 1978, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) serves nearly 24,000 schools. ACSI is a leading international organization that promotes Christian education and provides training and resources to Christian schools and Christian educators. Accreditation through ACSI ensures schools that contribute to the public good through effective teaching and learning, schools that are biblically sound, academically rigorous, socially engaged, and culturally relevant. ACSI certification also helps develop educators who embody a biblical worldview, engage in transformational teaching and discipleship and embrace personal and professional growth.

WASC

WASC accreditation is a process schools use to monitor student learning and set school improvement goals. Schools assess their programs and their impact on student learning based on WASC criteria and other accreditation factors. The purpose of WASC is to foster excellence in elementary, secondary, adult and postsecondary institutions, and supplementary education programs. The Commission encourages school improvement through a process of continuing evaluation, recognizing institutions through granting accreditation to the schools that meet an acceptable level of quality based on the established criteria.
